Hidden Corner

Deleting your account

You can delete your Hidden Corner account and everything in it at any time. It is real deletion, not a disabled login, and there is no undo.

The usual way — in the app. Open Hidden Corner, tap the settings button in your corner, and choose delete account at the foot of the screen. You will be asked to confirm twice, and the second panel says plainly that it cannot be undone. That is all — nothing else is needed and nobody has to approve it.

If you cannot sign in. Write to hiddencorner.support@gmail.com from the email address on the account, and ask for the account to be deleted. Sending it from that address is what tells us it is yours to delete — please do not include your password. One person runs Hidden Corner and reads that mailbox, so allow a few days for a reply.

What is deleted. Your sign-in and email address, your corner, every piece in it and the words you wrote with each one, the marks other people left on your pieces, your daily walks, any feedback you sent us, and any wishes the app could not draw for you.

What stays, and why. Two things remain, and neither of them names you afterwards. Marks you left in other people's corners stay where they are, with the record of who left them erased — a mark is a gift to someone else's space, and leaving does not reach in and take it back. A report you filed also stays open, with the record of who filed it erased, because it is a signal about somebody else and should not disappear because you left. Both are kept only as anonymous rows; there is nothing left in either that can be traced to you.

Deleting your account is immediate. Hidden Corner has no account recovery, so an account that has been deleted cannot be brought back — starting again means starting a new corner.
